David brings with him a wealth of experience having worked for NatWest/Royal Bank of Scotland for the last 33 years. He is well known amongst East Midlands SMEs, having covered the region for the last 21 years. For the last three years he has worked from Nottingham helping businesses facing difficulties during the economic downturn.
In his new role at Sterling Capital Reserve David will access a broad range of funding solutions but in particular will focus on situations where experienced investors lend to SME businesses. He will be based in Nottingham at the company's Edwalton headquarters and cover the entire East Midlands region.
Speaking about his new role at Sterling Capital Reserve, David said:
"I'm delighted to be able to help East Midlands businesses at a time when they face very real challenges. We all know the banks' appetite for lending has changed since 2008. I have worked for trading businesses throughout my career, and I think what we can offer as a broker is access to more flexible solutions.
"We are not in competition with banks; we complement them and often provide the missing link in the finance that gets the deal done and the business moving again."
Sterling Reserve Capital was recently short listed in the Funding Team of the Year category at the prestigious East Midlands Dealmakers awards.
